When temperatures start dropping below the freezing point, it is good to have some indoor activities planned when visiting Stockholm. There is only so much playing in the snow that you can do! One good option is to visit one of Stockholm's 80+ museums. There are many great museums looking at history and royalty in Stockholm. But, if art is your interest, then we have a wonderful variety of art museums... classic, moderna, Swedish, international, sculpture, photography, paintings and more. Here is a list of art museums in Stockholm and their planned exhibitions for this coming season:

  • Fotografiska (photography)- They have three ongoing exhibitions this season: "Power of Hands" by Malin Fezehai (until Feb 9th), "Welcome Home" by Alex Prager (until March 8th) and "Places Beyond" by Erik Johansson (Dec 6th to March 1st).
  • National (calssic art and design)- Several exhibitions, of special note are "1989- Culture & Politics" (until Jan 12th) and "Hella Jongerius - Breathing Color" (until Feb 9th).
