Autumn Events & Festivals 2019

Will you be in Stockholm during the autumn? Here is a calendar of events and festivals to help you plan your visit! I have avoided writing anything Christmas related as I will dedicate an entire upcoming article to those events. Click here if you want to read about this season's art exhibitions. Autumn is my favorite season. I like it when it gets a little cooler and the leaves start to change colors (nothing beats walking in Djurgården park to enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage). This is also, in my opinion, the best season at restaurants with all the great local produce on the menu... chantarelles, bleak roe, venison and more.

September

• 26th to 28th- Stockholm Beer & Whisky festival (part 1) at Nackastrandsmässan. 
• 28th & 29th- Apple festival at the organic gardens of Rosendals Trädgård. 
• 28th & 29th- Autumn market at Skansen.

October

• 1st- Johan Mayer at Ericsson Globe.
• 3rd to 5th- Stockholm Beer & Whisky festival (part 2) at Nackastrandsmässan. 
• 3rd to 6th- Food festival "Tugg" at Teatern food market.
• 4th to 6th- Open House Stockholm which lets you see the inside of some of Stockholm's most iconic buildings. Program release on Sept 21st. 
• 7th- Ariana Grande at Ericsson Globe.
• 11th to 20th- Stockholm Jazz Festival 11 day long music festival at different veunes.
• 13th to 20th- Intrum Stockholm Open (tennis).
• 17th- Cher at Friends Arena.
• 23rd- Michael Bublé at Ericsson Globe.
• 26th & 27th- Autumn Market at Ulrikdals Castle. 
• 27th- clocks "fall back" one hour (Daylight Savings Time). 

November

• 2nd- Shockholm Halloween parade. 
• 3rd- All Saints' Day. Bank holiday. 
• 3rd- Light Festival at Haga Park. 
• 6th to 17th- Stockholm International Film Festival. 
• 8th to 10th- Stockholm Food & Wine Fair at the Stockholm International Fairgrounds. 
• Nov 28th to Dec 1st- Sweden International Horse Show at Friends Arena. 
• End of the month- Christmas market season starts (dates, venues to be announced- last year's markets). 

December (a month filled with Xmas themed events and happenings, more info when the season approaches)

• Nov 28th to Dec 1st- Sweden International Horse Show at Friends Arena. 
• 5th- Avicii tribute concert at Friends Arena. 
• 8th- Björk concert at Ericsson Globe. 
• 10th- Nobel Prize Ceremony. 
• 13th- Lucia Day (traditional celebrations)
