I do have to point out, right off the bat, that there are only a few weeks left to see this exhibition (until September 27th)... but I visited the museum the other day and figured that this would still be of interest if you will be in Stockholm sometime in September. Moreover, even if the exhibition is over when you come to Stockholm, it is still a great museum to visit! Usually I am much better at visiting an exhibition at the beginning of its run... but it has been an unusual summer (to put it mildly).
Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum is one of my favorite of the smaller museums in Stockholm. Sven Harry's has
a great location in the Vasa Park, in the
Vasastan neighborhood, and they generally have an interesting variation of exhibitions (modern art, photography, sculpture, fashion, etc.). No visit to the museum is complete without a visit to their
rooftop sculpture terrace and to see
the replica of Sven-Harry's home there (with private art collection). They also have
a nice café which is worth a visit.

This summer they have run an exhibition called
"Art in Fashion". The exhibition looks at the importance of art in fashion and fashion in art through 36 creations by 14 designers. The exhibition is spread out through three floors and, as usual, the museum makes good use of the space. There are some interesting and beautiful creations in the exhibition and it was nice just to stroll around and soak it all in. I also liked that many local designers were included in the exhibition. But remember... September 27th is the last day!
Sven-Harry's next exhibition looks like it will be very interesting as well:
Around the Corner, the Yoik of the Wind which will display the work of artists from Sápmi (or Lapland). Opens on October 9th. The easiest way to get to the museum from
Hotel Rival is to take the subway (green line).
The museum is located in the park Vasapark, which is located just between the subway stations Odenplan and St Eriksplan. The building that houses the museum is faux gold-plated and hard to miss from the park! Keep in mind that they may have shorter opening hours/days due to the pandemic. It is good to double check
their opening hours ahead of your visit.
