It is May now, which is the usual start of the summer tourist season. We shall see what type of season we will have this year. Hopefully, with vaccines rolling out, people will feel safer to travel this summer. At any rate, the sightseeing company
Strömma has started with their popular boat tours of the Stockholm, with
Covid restrictions in place. They have not announced any start to their bus tours but, as boats are much more spacious than busses (making it easier to social distance), this makes sense. The three current boats tours are just running on the weekends (Fri-Sun and holidays) for now, with plans to extend to daily tours in June.

- Royal Canal Tour- the shortest tour at 50 minutes, this boat tour takes around the harbor and the island the Djurgården. Perfect for an introduction to the city. Daily tours start on June 4th.
- Under the Bridges- a good boat tour for a deeper immersion into Stockholm (2 hours and 15 minutes), you pass under 12 bridges and by the 14 islands which make up the city.Daily tours start on June 4th.
- Little Archipelago Tour- to see the whole Stockholm archipelago of 24,000+ islands would take a few days, but this tour is a good introduction! This guided 2½ to 3 hour tour takes you out to the middle archipelago on a beautiful turn of the century ship. Daily tours starting June 25th.
Day trip boat excursions, with destinations like Vaxholm, Drottningholm Palace and Artipelag museum, all start running in June! Or you can visit the archipelago on your own using the
Cinderella boats already in May (on the weekends, with daily trips starting on June 23rd).
