Here We Go Again...
Due to rising numbers of new cases of Covid-19, Sweden has been adding and tightening restrictions region by region when needed. This week it was Stockholm's turn. Just as it was this Spring, Sweden is avoiding a mandated lock down. Instead, the Public Health Agency of Sweden has announced stricter guidelines for citizens to follow in order to curb the rise in cases. These include avoiding physical contact with people outside of your household, no more than 50 people can gather at one time, refraining from taking part in social gatherings/parties, meetings, concerts and sport matches as well as avoiding visits to indoor environments such as shops, shopping malls, libraries, gyms and museums. These guidelines are in place until November 19th (with the option of extending them). EDIT: newer restrictions have reduced the number of people who can gather to 8!
Some smaller art museums like Millesgården, Sven-Harry Art Museum, Thielska Galleriet and Prins Eugen Waldemarsudde are open (with added safety measures in place)... but this may change. Now it is time for us all to be responsible, follow guidelines and rules, stay home if you feel at all unwell and hopefully we will push the numbers down and get back to some normalcy again.
